Es ist passiert – ich bin monetarisiert. Ab heute wird Google angezapft. 😉 Die Pro Bowl steht am Abend am Programm, in der NFL gibt es neue Klagen, neue Coaches und neue Namen. In der Österreich gibt es einen neuen Spielplan der längsten Football Bundesliga aller Zeiten, der nicht gerade die Rookie-Teams bevorzugt, einen neuen, neuen Coach in Graz und Neuzugänge, die auf eine spannende Saison hoffen lassen.

Abschluss der Regular Season in der NFL. Die letzten Entscheidungen um die Playoff Plätze gibt es live auf PULS 24 und PULS 4. Die Offseason in Österreich neigt sich langsam dem Ende zu. Die Teams bereiten sich auf ihre Aufgaben vor und hoffen, dass die Saison im März wie geplant und auch mit Zuschauern starten kann.

Es ist getan: Die Raiders Tirol und Vienna Vikings werden 2022 in der European League Of Football spielen. Österreichs Meister und Vizemeister sind damit raus aus der AFL, aber nicht ganz: Die zweiten Teams werden in die Bundesliga nachrücken und theoretisch dürften die dann auch Imports einsetzen. Was gibt es sonst noch für Auswirkungen auf die Ligen und was kostet das Ganze eigentlich?

Der Start der NFL Saison steht vor der Tür und bei Puls24 beginnt die Live-Berichterstattung bereits am Donnerstag zur Prime Time: Der NFL Kickoff Talk, im Anschluss das NFL Kickoff Game und am Sonntag zwei weitere Top Spiele. Österreicher werden wir vorerst keine sehen: Sandro Platzgummer und Bernhard Seikovits sind im Practice Squad gelandet. In Österreich ist das Football Unterhaus im vollen Umfang gestartet.

Football.Talk: Das Wort zum Sonntag vom 29.8-2021

Nach einer sehr langen Pause konnte am Wochenende endlich wieder das Football Unterhaus aktiv werden. Statt 21 Teams im Jahr 2019 sind 2021 allerdings nur mehr 15 in den Divisionen 3 und 4 dabei. Hurrikans gibt es in Österreich (noch) nicht, aber Österreicher waren immer wieder davon betroffen. Die Arizona Cardinals mussten wegen Hurrikan Ida in der Luft kehrt machen, Bernhard Seikovits fällt damit um einen dritten Pre-Season Einsatz um.

Navy-Notre Dame Football Game Drawing Worldwide Media Attention

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—The 2012 Emerald Isle Classic football game between Navy and Notre Dame, which will be played on Saturday, Sept. 1 in Dublin, Ireland at Aviva Stadium is garnering worldwide media exposure.

The game, which is presented by The Gathering Ireland 2013, will be televised live in the United States to 100 percent of the country by CBS at 9:00 AM Eastern (which is 3:00 AM in Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo’s native Hawai’i).  Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson, Tracy Wolfson and David Feherty will be on hand to call all the action.

ESPN America will take the television feed from CBS and air the game in 66 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.  For a list of countries and cable outlets that get ESPN America go to www.espnamerica.com.

American Forces Network will also carry the CBS television feed to 175 countries and U.S. Territories.  The American Forced Network worldwide radio and television broadcast network serves American service men and women, Department of Defense and other U.S. government civilians and their families stationed at bases overseas, as well as U.S. Navy ships at sea.

There have been close to 200 media members credentialed for the game with newspapers from Japan, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Poland and Hungary covering the contest along with numerous media outlets from Ireland, Northern Ireland and the United States.

Football-Austria erstmals unter den Top 700 Webseiten des Landes

Das EFL-Wochenende hat Football-Austria neue Rekordzahlen beschert. Alleine über Pfingsten haben 8.763 einzelne Rechner die Seite aufgesucht, über die Hälfte war Live dabei und über das Monat April werden es rund 20.000 Besucher und 100.000 Besuche bei knapp 2.5 Mio Page Impressions (inkl. Fotogalerien) werden. (Quelle: Google Analytics) Die Steigerungsrate gegenüber dem Vorjahr beträgt bei Besuche 22 Prozent, bei eindeutige Besucher sind es sogar 49 Prozent.

Die Amazon Page Ranking Plattform Alexa reiht Football-Austria damit erstmals unter die 700 meistbesuchten Seiten Österreichs (#696), in Wien ist FA laut Alexa „relatively popular“, die Wiener besuchten zuletzt nur 338 Webseiten weltweit öfter als die von Football-Austria.

Lange wird das Ranking nicht zu halten sein, in Normalform befindet sich FA österreichweit zwischen den Rängen 800 und 900.

Die Austria Presse Agentur (APA) führt zwischenzeitlich den Twitter Account von FA - @footballaustria - auf Platz 34 (!) der nationalen Rangliste.

ORF SPORT + wird ab 1. Juli 2012 in die analogen UPC-Kabelnetze eingespeist.

ORF SPORT+ wird zwar seit Oktober des Vorjahrs vom ORF ausgestrahlt, aber einige hunderttausend Haushalte, die ihre Fernsehsignale noch über analoge Kabelnetze erhalten, konnten den neuen ORF-Spartensender bisher nicht empfangen, da er von etlichen österreichischen Kabelnetzbetreibern bisher nur in deren digitalen Kabelnetzen angeboten wurde.

ORF und UPC haben sich auf einen besonders kundenfreundlichen Kompromiss geeinigt: Ab 1. Juli 2012 wird ORF SPORT+ in die analogen Kabelnetze von UPC eingespeist. Analoge UPC-Kunden in Wien, Wien/West, in der Region Graz, in Feldbach, Klagenfurt, St. Veit an der Glan, Wiener Neustadt, Neunkirchen und in den Regionen Baden und Reichenau können dann ORF SPORT+ empfangen.

ORF-Generaldirektor Dr. Alexander Wrabetz: "Ich freue mich, dass mit UPC eine sehr vernünftige Lösung getroffen werden konnte, die sicherstellt, dass alle durch UPC versorgten Haushalte künftig auch zusätzlich zum digitalen Netz im analogen UPC-Netz ORF SPORT+ empfangen können. ESPN Presents the 2012 NFL Draft

ESPN will televise the 2012 NFL Draft Presented by Bud Light, April 26-28 from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Draft-related content will also be available across multiple ESPN platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD, ESPN Classic, ESPN International, ESPNEWS, ESPN Radio, ESPNU, ESPN.com, WatchESPN, ESPN the Magazine, ESPN VOD and ESPN Mobile Web. Programming highlights:

• 16 hours of live television programming of the 2012 NFL Draft; for the first time, the first hour of Round 1 coverage (Thursday night) will be presented with limited commercial interruption;
• 15 hours of original SportsCenter on the Clock shows during NFL Draft week; 
• 23 cameras in and around Radio City, including two RF steadicams and three jib cameras;
• Over 250 player highlight packages;
• High definition videoconferencing with all 32 teams using HD Glowpoint cameras;
• More than 100 draft prospects were photographed at the NFL Scouting Combine in March. The images will be combined with music by Nas and guitarist Gary Clark, Jr., and used throughout the telecast. Also, Baltimore Ravens veteran linebacker Ray Lewis will appear in the special opening video for ESPN’s NFL Draft telecast.

ESPN’s NFL Draft Commentator Teams:

• Day One (Thurs.): Chris Berman will host Round 1 from the main set with analysts Jon Gruden and Mel Kiper, Jr. NFL Insiders Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter will report from an additional set, and reporter Suzy Kolber will be on site to interview draft prospects at Radio City. Analyst Bill Polian will offer his insights from Bristol.
• Day Two (Fri.): Berman, Kiper and Gruden will remain at Radio City on the main set, and they will be joined by analyst Todd McShay in Round 3. Polian will accompany Mortensen and Schefter on the additional set.

During the month of April, ESPN Classic is presenting 191 hours of Before They Were Pros,programming that showcases highly-touted prospects from recent years, including re-airs of college football games as well as episodes of Gruden’s QB Camp. Shows run April 23-26 during NFL Draft week.

ESPN InternationalESPN International will offer coverage of the NFL Draft to more than 52 million households in 146 countries and territories throughout Africa, Brazil, Caribbean, Latin America, Middle East, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Europe on ESPN America, and Canada on TSN2.

ESPNULeading up to the NFL Draft, ESPNU will present a six-hour marathon of Gruden’s QB Camp on Wednesday, April 25, beginning at 6 p.m. The ESPNU marathon will include previously unaired footage and commentary from Gruden on each of the quarterbacks featured in the 2012 series.

Then, with a trio of ESPNU Draft Coverage shows debuting Thursday, April 26, at 10:30 p.m., the network will breakdown each NFL Draft prospect with the analysts who have called their games. ESPN The Magazine’s NFL Draft issue features Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III on the cover and highlights why he is no ordinary quarterback – he’s a legacy who embodies the traits of his predecessors, both one and two. In “Third and Gold,” Tom Friend explores RG3’s unique blend of charisma, will, speed and smarts in this definitive profile on the draft’s most important player.

The NFL Draft issue, on newsstands April 20, also highlights how no school has ever had a quarterback, guard and tackle all taken in the first round of the NFL draft.
